Dark Passage
Alfonso Benadduce and Anton Bruckner’s Ninth Symphony

Dark Passage is about arriving somewhere without knowing where. When Cassandra, the ignored prophet of doom, descends from her chariot, she leaves her vision on the battlefield and remains deprived of her power. It is there that we enter with closed eyes, yielding to our not-knowing, just as Bruckner’s Ninth Symphony knows nothing about itself.
